Justin Kobe Pacificus Capital Management

Justin Kobe, CFA 
Founder, Portfolio Manager & Adviser 

 

Justin has been a financial markets professional since 1997 and has spent a large part of his career as an institutional bond and interest rate derivatives trader. His global experience, macro orientation, and institutional investment background provides unique insight when assisting clients in the development of an investment portfolio and wealth management plan. 

 

Prior to founding Pacificus Capital Management, Justin spent seven years managing a multi-billion dollar portfolio of US Treasury bonds and interest rate derivatives as a trader and market maker with the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) in New York, Greenwich and Tokyo. Before this, Justin worked as a global bond and interest rate derivatives trader with both Mizuho Corporate Bank and Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank in New York. 

 

Justin graduated from San Francisco State University with a BS in Business Administration and attended University of California at Santa Barbara. He was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2003 from the CFA Institute and is a member of the San Francisco CFA Society. 

 

In addition to spending time with his wife and daughter, Justin enjoys listening to a variety of music, mountain biking, hiking, surfing, and traveling with his family. 

David Kobe

For more than three decades David has helped clients address their financial concerns and develop sound strategies by focusing on each individual’s specific needs. With extensive experience throughout major shifts in the markets, David has dedicated his career to delivering the personalized wealth planning services his clients deserve. 

 

David has been a Tax Accountant since 1973 and is an Enrolled Agent, which allows him to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. He holds licenses in Life and Disability Insurance and Variable Annuities. He has spoken before professional and church groups on various tax and financial planning topics as well as on KGO radio. 

 

David holds a BA in economics from Brooklyn College and earned the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) certification in 1985. He is a member of the Association of Enrolled Agents (former Vice President) and the International Association for Financial Planning (former Treasurer). 

 

Outside the office, if not found on the tennis courts, David enjoys spending time with his wife and family.
